199 East Blaine Biotech Office Building
A sustainably built biotech office space in Seattle's South Lake Union.
This four-story, 168,000sf building was a shell and core construction including soldier and auger cast piles, structural excavation, site utilities, cast-in-place and shot concrete, roofing, elevators, and design-build MEP systems. The structure also included underground parking, labs, offices, and rooftop hardscape area. This project features 20% recycled materials, 10% regionally produced materials, and over 75% of all construction waste was recycled. All water, whether collected from rainwater or used on the jobsite, was gathered and filtered before it was released to the storm drain. All collected water was treated and tested to ensure that zero contaminates were being released. It is certified LEED Gold.
