Tulalip Gathering Hall
A gathering space built with resources from the land.
A ground-up construction of a timber and natural log-framed gathering hall for the Tulalip Tribes. This structure incorporated tradition with technology with 38’ cedar trees supporting the glulam-framed super structure while bringing the outdoor bay view inside with 240sf sliding patio doors. This project required an extensive amount of planning and logistics coordination to erect and protect the exposed timbers during construction, as well as contending with the high winds of the Tulalip Bay.
